It finally happened. We knew it would, we knew your time was coming, knew you were already peeling away from this world, flaking away like old paint. No more stories, no more chunks torn out of the fabric of a flawed world. Going, going… gone. After a fashion. Today, we are leaden. Today, we are low. I miss you. I miss you in my world, already. Although you linger, and may you linger long, I can already hear my life when only your echoes remain. Such glorious echoes, though, and refracted and splintered into vast array of colours, focussed into a searing beam by the age’s lens and time’s prism.  I wish you wouldn’t go. Please.
